mango pachadi (sweet)
ingredients
- Mango -1 medium size
- Jaggery - 1/4 cup
- Mustard - 1/2 tsp.
- Blackgram dhal - 1/2 tsp.
- Cilly powder - 1/4 tsp.
- Tamarind - a marble size
method of preparation
- Peel out the mango and cut into long thin pieces.
- Cook it in about 100ml. of tamarind juice and chilly pwder.
- When it is cooked well, add the jaggery .
- Simmer well until the jaggery flavour is lost.
- Add a pinch of salt.
- Season with mustard blackgram dhal.
- Mix a teasapoon of rice lfour with a little water and add.
- Remove from the fire .
- Curd may also be added, if necessary.
- If the mango is too sour, do not add the tamarind juice.
- Cook the mango pieces in the plain water.
- Ripe mango can also be used to prepare apchadi, in the same method.
