  • Blackgram dhal - 2 tbl. sp.
  • Bengalgram dhal - 2 tbl. sp.
  • Red chillies - 3
  • Asafoetida - a bit
  • Mustard - 1/2 tsp.
  • Coconut - 1/2

method of preparation

  • Scrap the coconut.
  • Heat a little oil and fry the other ingredients to reddish and keep aside.
  • Fry the grated coconut in 1 tsp. of ghee to reddish brown.
  • First grind the other ingredients and salt and then add the coconut.
  • Grind into a coarse powder.
  • It can be kept for one week.
  • This coconut powder can be used for preparing coconut rice.
