- Bengalgram flour - 1/2 cup
- Maida - 1 tbl.sp.
- Rice flour - 1 tbl. sp.
- Chilly powder - 1/4 tsp.
- salt - 1/2 tsp.
- Ghee - 1 tsp.
- Asafoetida - a bit
- Baking soda - a pinch
method of preparation
Add enough water to the above ingredients.
Prepare a thick batter of curd like consistency.
Take some vegetables like brinjal, onion, chow chow, plantain, chilly and potato.
Cut these vegetables into round slices or thin long slices.
Dip the vegetable slices in the batter and deep fry.
Remove from the fire when they are reddish brown.
Drain and serve hot with coconut chutney.
