Keep a whole ridge gourd in a pressure cooker.
ingredients
- Ridgegourd - 3
- Blackgram dhal - 2 tsp.
- Bengal gram dhal - 1 tsp.
- Red chillies - 3
- Asafoetida - a bit.
- Tamarind - half lemon size
- Salt - to taste

method of preparation
Fry the ingredients seperately.
Keep a whole ridge gourd in a pressure cooker, seperately or while cooking dhal or rice.
Remove, peel and grind along with the fried ingredients, tamarind and salt.
This can be used as a side dish for tiffin varieties as well as for rice, Prepared rice varieties etc.

ingredients
- Thur dhal - 2 tbl. sp.
- Bengalgram dhal - 2 tbl. sp.
- Red chillies - 2
- Salt - to taste
- Onion - 1 big size

Method of preparation
Fry both the dhal and red chillies seperately in a little oil.
Onion should be cut and fried in a little oil.
Grind the onion with the dhals, chillies and salt.
This is the nice combination for idli, dosa, chappathi etc. |
