black bean sundal
INGREDIENTS
- Black bean - 1 cup
- Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp.
- Ginger - cut into small pieces - 2 tsp.
- Green chillies - 2 (cut into small pieces)
- Onion - small size - 1 ( cut inot small pieces)
- Curry leaves - chopped (1 tsp)

METHOD OF PREPARATION
Soak 1 cup of black beans for 6 hours.
Drain out the water from the black beans.
Pressure cook for 10 minutes the black beans with 1/2 tsp. of salt.
In a pan pour 2 tsp. of oil and add mustard seeds, onion, green chillies, ginger and curry leaves.
saute for 5 minutes till the onion gets golden brown.
Add the pressure cooked black bean to the pan add if salt is necessary and saute for 1 minute.
This can be eaten as a evening snack or it can be served as a side dish for lunch. |
