semolina or rava kesari
INGREDIENTS
- Rava - 1 cup
- Mango pulp - 1/2 cup
- Milk - 1/2 cup
- Water - 1 cup
- Mango Essence - 1 tsp
- Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Salt a Pinch
- Ghee - 1/4cup
- Cashew nuts - 6
- Kesari colour - a pinch.
- Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
METHOD OF PREPARATIOn
- Boil the mango pulp with milk, water and sugar mix well until the sugar gets dissolved and keep aside.
- Boil one cup of water. Keep aside.
- Heat a tbl. sp. of ghee in a pan and fry rava until reddish.
- Keep a slow fire and add boiled water little by little stirring continuously.
- Stir well and when the rava is cooked well, add the boiled mango - sugar mixture. Mix well.
- Add required ghee to the mixture.
- Now add pinch of salt, mango essence, kesari colour and also to the boiling mango-sugar water.
- Fry the cashew nuts in the little quantity of ghee and add to the cooked rava.
- Serve hot.
