semolina or rava kesari

INGREDIENTS

  • Rava - 1 cup
  • Mango pulp - 1/2 cup
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Mango Essence - 1 tsp
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Salt a Pinch
  • Ghee - 1/4cup
  • Cashew nuts - 6
  • Kesari colour - a pinch.
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp

METHOD OF PREPARATIOn

  • Boil the mango pulp with milk, water and sugar mix well until the sugar gets dissolved and keep aside.
  • Boil one cup of water. Keep aside.
  • Heat a tbl. sp. of ghee in a pan and fry rava until reddish.
  • Keep a slow fire and add boiled water little by little stirring continuously.
  • Stir well and when the rava is cooked well, add the boiled mango - sugar mixture. Mix well.
  • Add required ghee to the mixture.
  • Now add pinch of salt, mango essence, kesari colour and also to the boiling mango-sugar water.
  • Fry the cashew nuts in the little quantity of ghee and add to the cooked rava.
  • Serve hot.
