rava dosa (samolina dosa)
INGREDIENTS
- Rava (samolina) - 1 cup
- Rice flour - 1/2 cup
- Slightly soured buttermilk - 2 tbl. sp.
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp.
- Salt - 1 and a half tsp.
- Green chillies - 1
- Onion - 1 medium size
- Water - 1 cup.
METHOD OF PREPARATION
- Mix rice flour and rava with salt, cumin seeds, butter milk, chopped green chillies, chopped onion, and water.
- Make thick batter to the correct consistency.
- Now smear a dosai pan with oil. Pour the batter into small circles. (Don't press with the ladle as said for the rice dosai).
- Pour 1/2 tsp. of oil around.
- When the lower side is cooked to a golden brown, take off the dosai and toss and cook the other side.
- Add 1/2 tsp. of oil. Cook until crisp.
- Serve hot with chutney, sambhar or podi.
