chicken MANJURIan

ingredients

  • Chicken - 1kg
  • Curd - 4 tsp.
  • Egg - 3
  • Maida flour - 4 tsp.
  • Sambar powder - 1/4 tsp.
  • Pepper - 1/2 tsp.
  • Garlic - 100 gms.
  • Ginger - 50 gms.
  • Green chillies - 4
  • Chilly powder - 1 tsp.
  • Chicken masala powder - 1/4 tsp.
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp.
  • Onion - 1 medium size.
  • Tomato sauce - 2 tsp.
  • Oil - 100 ml.
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves and mint leaves to garnish

Method of preparation

  • Cut the chicken into medium size pieces and wash well then add 4 tsp. of curd and soak for 20 minutes.
  • Break the eggs and pour into a bowl.
  • Add Maida flour, sambar powder, pepper and little amount of salt mix well.
  • Now wash the chicken with water and add to the mixture then soak for 10 minutes.
  • In the mean while cut the onion into small pieces and grind the ginger and garlic to get a paste.
  • Now fry the soaked chicken in oil and keep aside.
  • Now take a pan and pour 5 tsp. of oil and fry the onion and green chilles for 5 minutes.
  • Then add ginger garlic paste to the onion and fry for 5 minutes.
  • Add 1/2 a cup of water, chilly pwoder, turmeric powder, chicken masala powder to the pan.
  • Keep boiling for 10 minutes till the water gets evaporated.
  • Add the fried chicken pieces to the pan and cook for 5 minutes in simmer.
  • Then add the tomato sauce and mix well.
  • Garnish with coriader leaves and mint leaves then serve hot.
  • This chicken manjuri can be used instead of chicken fry in the feast.
