chicken MANJURIan
ingredients
- Chicken - 1kg
- Curd - 4 tsp.
- Egg - 3
- Maida flour - 4 tsp.
- Sambar powder - 1/4 tsp.
- Pepper - 1/2 tsp.
- Garlic - 100 gms.
- Ginger - 50 gms.
- Green chillies - 4
- Chilly powder - 1 tsp.
- Chicken masala powder - 1/4 tsp.
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp.
- Onion - 1 medium size.
- Tomato sauce - 2 tsp.
- Oil - 100 ml.
- Salt - to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves and mint leaves to garnish
Method of preparation
- Cut the chicken into medium size pieces and wash well then add 4 tsp. of curd and soak for 20 minutes.
- Break the eggs and pour into a bowl.
- Add Maida flour, sambar powder, pepper and little amount of salt mix well.
- Now wash the chicken with water and add to the mixture then soak for 10 minutes.
- In the mean while cut the onion into small pieces and grind the ginger and garlic to get a paste.
- Now fry the soaked chicken in oil and keep aside.
- Now take a pan and pour 5 tsp. of oil and fry the onion and green chilles for 5 minutes.
- Then add ginger garlic paste to the onion and fry for 5 minutes.
- Add 1/2 a cup of water, chilly pwoder, turmeric powder, chicken masala powder to the pan.
- Keep boiling for 10 minutes till the water gets evaporated.
- Add the fried chicken pieces to the pan and cook for 5 minutes in simmer.
- Then add the tomato sauce and mix well.
- Garnish with coriader leaves and mint leaves then serve hot.
- This chicken manjuri can be used instead of chicken fry in the feast.
